Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes tense rivalries and angsty, affectionate connections that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner stated recently. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on Prime Video on October 29.
