I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
